The festival of children's songs "Zlatno slavejce" exists since 1971 and is the oldest festival for children's music in the Balkans. Last year the Festival celebrated its 40th anniversary. This festival is a humanitarian international event and children from many countries participate in it. The Festival has guested in Australia, Canada, America, France, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, and the UK. The Association for Children's Care and Education fulfils its aims to support disadvantaged and orphaned children through children's performances and participation at the Festivals.
Along with the children's choir, Bojana Fabel, a London-based pianist/singer/songwriter, will be headlining. She has won many awards in her career and followed different directions in music such as Classical, Jazz, Pop and Traditional and performed in many countries. Bojana has a/ained a degree in Popular Music Performance at Thames Valley University and the Tech Music School in London. Her voice is very refined and in the style of classic jazz singers. She has been singing Balkan traditional and Gypsy-influenced music and recently performed the Gypsy Anthem for the International Roma day here in the UK.
