Amir Taheri is an internationally-acclaimed Iranian-born journalist and author based in Europe. His writings focus on Middle East affairs and topics related to Islamist terrorism. He is the author of 11 books on the Middle East, Iran and Islam. He has been a syndicated columnist for American, British, and Middle Eastern publications since the 1980s. He has edited newspapers and magazines in his native Iran as well as Britain and France. Taheri has been writing for the New York Post since 2002, and in 2005, he was named Senior Fellow at the National Committee on American Foreign Policy. His latest book, "The Persian Night: Iran Under the Khomeinist Revolution", discusses the Islamic Republic's history, current political landscape, and geopolitical ambitions.
