Honored by the Queen in England, nominated for the Pulitzer in the USA, Ronald Senator is a "composer of real stature" (New York Times) with over 200 musical works to his credit, including five operas and musicals. He is also the author of five books. He has been a witness and participant of some of the key historical events of the 20th century, including the London Blitz, the collapse of communism in Prague and Moscow, the welcoming of the first Spanish Ambassador to Israel just 300 years after the expulsion of the Jews from Spain, or the 9/11 razing of the Twin Towers in New York. He has known and befriended numerous celebrities, Presidents, Mayors, astronauts, writers and artists, actors and directors of stage and screen.

In particular he will talk about The Malignant Fence, his name for the tragic and violent separation of Jews and Christians through Western hiatory. He has lived on both sides of this fence, as a religious Jew but also as a Carmelite monk. His music has been a force to bridge that gap. His Holocaust Requiem  oratorio has been performed in many cities worldwide with joint Christian and Jewish sponsorship, from its premiere in Canterbury Cathedral to the historic performance in Rome one month after 9/11, sponsored by the Roman Church, an event billed as "a Concert for Peace and for Interfaith Dialogue", attended by numerous Cardinals, Jewish dignitaries, and Ambassadors including the American James Nicholson who hosted the Reception, a concert described by PBS radio as "the most significant ecumenical event of recent years".
