The small dramas and dreams of everyday life, the mystery contained in each figure in a queue, old people taking a snooze in the sun, a thug and his dogs, mothers and children -- some of the themes that inspire this exhibition.
Rosalind Bieber had a highly promising career as a harpsichord recitalist, which was cut short because of injury. She then attended the City and Guilds of London Art School for four years and now has work in private collections world wide.
This show represents some three years during which time she became allergic to all art materials. She has found new ones -- sand, chalk, rice glue, dental concrete, carborundum, all adding to her feeling for the timeless, the humorous and yet the poignant moments of life.
Rosalind Bieber's exhibition has now been extended by popular request.
Here are some images which are so much more impressive when you see them in their original form and size. They are stunning.
Rosalind Bieber's exhibition is now continuing and here is some background to this work.
