Benyamim Tsedaka, one of the elders of the Samaritan community, will talk about everyday life of the Israelite Samaritan People in their religious traditional life and as a society that struggle for her survival between different groups of the Israeli and Palestinian Societies.
The Samaritans were introduced into the land of Israel by the Assyrians after they exiled the Ten Tribes. They still live in Israel today. In relation to its number the Samaritan community is one of the most educated society in the world since most of the young and mature generations are university graduates. The speaker will present how the community translates this fact to ensure the future of the Samaritan People in the most complicated region of the world.
A display of slide pictures will be shown after the lecture followed by a session of Q and A.
