Ester Svandova was born in 1986 in Prague into a professional musical family, where she was constantly surrounded by their music. She plays violin and piano, but since young age her greatest passion was singing. At the beginning she sung mainly folk songs from a rich Czech musical inheritance. Later she started to take singing seriously and to focus on classical music.
She has performed Czech arias by Smetana with the Prague Student Orchestra in Rudolfinum.
One year ago Ester moved to London and started to study singing privately with Jacqueline Bremar and is coached by Lada Valesova.
She is currently preparing for her auditions to a number of music colleges in London. Since living here, she has performed at many private soirees and memorials and is busy building a repertoire for her Mezzo voice.
Her song recital at the Spiro Ark Centre is Ester's London debut, for which she has chosen a selection of Czech songs for the Mezzo voice and some German Lieder.
She will be accompanied by Malgorzata Czapor.
