Vilna, the capital of Lithuania, was once known as the Jerusalem of the North, rich in Jewish culture, heritage and Talmudic learning. The Shoah annihilated 95 percent of Lithuanian Jewry. This event celebrates and remembers Vilna's Jewish community through a documentary, photographs, music, art and performance. Special guest - speaker, survivor and director of the Green House Jewish Museum in Vilnius, Rachel Kostanian, will address the spiritual resistance of the Vilna ghetto. With performances by renowned cantor Steven Leas, Yiddish singer Polina Shepherd, and actors Katya and Rosy Benjamin.
