This colourful rod and shadow puppet show with melodious music from the Middle East, tells the biblical story of Joseph, Jacob's favourite son, and his jealous brothers who sell him as a slave to Ishmaelites on their way to Egypt. We follow Joseph, his encounter with Potiphar's wife, his imprisonment which leads to reading King Pharaoh's dreams and being appointed the Governor of Egypt until he is finally reunited with his family.
Tricia Brummer is a puppeteer and puppet and costume maker and has worked many years for film and TV. She founded Pomegranate Puppets and draws on an array of Middle East, Eastern European and Far Eastern themes.
Pomegranate Puppets has performed at the south Bank and many other prestigious venues.
