This series of talk will examine issues like the memory of the holocaust, Jewish life in the Diaspora before WWII, Zionism, the local versus the global and the personal versus the political as they are depicted, remembered and presented in work of Israeli artists. The course is also bridge the generation gap between the young and the old discovering the attitudes of the young generation of the Israeli artists is not necessarily nihilistic or iconoclastic.
